Lal Lal Blast Furnace comprises the site and remains of the iron ore quarries and smelting works developed and operated by the Lal Lal Iron Mining Company primarily between 1873 and 1885, when the company collapsed. The remains include the stone and brick blast furnace (1880), the Cornish flue, tramway bed, mines, machinery sites, stone quarries and charchoal sites.
